Inspiration – Express
Here’s what I threw on to head to the airport today. Wanted to fly in a comfortable outfit but since I’m going to meet a my work twin and a sales guy for dinner almost immediately once I arrive – it had to be a little ‘nicer’ then what I might normally wear to travel.
A lot of you have asked about my weight loss over the past few months and I am working on putting together a full post about it. (Spoiler alert – smaller portions, lots of veggies and lots of walking.) But I thought I’d mention one of the simple fun & things I did was get on the step tracking bandwagon. I used a Fitbit to compete with my bestie in Memphis and my sister in Boston on weekend and work week step competitions. It really helped remind me to get up and take 15 minute walks throughout the day and to take a morning or evening walk to ‘get more steps.’
You can see I’m wearing my Fitbit ‘Alta’ activity tracker to make sure I track all the steps I’ll get hoofing it around the airport and running between connections today. I also own the Fitbit One for more discreet daily wear – I attach it to the side of my bra – but I love the Alta to track my sleep at night. I’ve been trying really really hard to get more sleep lately and seeing a little chart of how well I’m doing in the Fitbit app is really helpful/motivating.
(If the above sounds sponsor-y – it’s not. :P)
