Inspiration – J.Crew
I’m back! 🙂
Work stayed ridiculously difficult and demanding and draining for the entire time I was taking a blogging break. As a project manager of software implementations, it’s pretty common for a client or two that you are managing to be experiencing bugs or random issues. And then they require extra attention and effort to get the project back on track. Totally normal.
What happened to me two months ago was FIVE customers blew up with pretty big bugs all at the exact same time. And it took ridiculous amounts of time and energy to pull them all through their rough patches at the exact same time. Basically I tried to soothe customers while I was complained to (good day) or yelled at (less good day) for hours and hours each day for two months straight while in the background I was scrambling to work all nighters with engineering & India to get things resolved. SO FUN!
But as of last Thursday, two clients launched and a few big issues got resolved, so things seemed to have slowed to a more manageable pace. I was able to take last Friday off, unplug and truly take a four day weekend.
In other exciting events, Thursday night there was a little hurricane in our backyard, but thankfully we had no damage. We just lost power for a day and a half. (Worst damage I saw was our neighbors car that got totally squished by a falling tree!) Skylar thought PB&J’s for breakfast by candlelight was best thing ever.
While I haven’t been blogging – I have still been wearing clothes and managed to snap a couple of photos. This outfit was a, “I’m dreading Monday but at least I look like I mean business” vibe. Comfy dress I got on super sale recently from J.Crew.
