Navy floral dress from Banana Republic last year with a cardigan and pumps. Felt so lady-like & pretty all day.
Saw a woman on the sidewalk while I was going to get coffee wearing a full skirted spring floral dress, cardigan and espadrilles and I decided I definitely want to embrace the occasional southern belle vibe in some work outfits this spring.

FITNESS FRIDAY – Week ?? Update
So busy life and lack of posting has also meant lack of dedication to getting fit. Even though I’ve completed six weeks of duration since I mentioned it here – only some weeks have been successful and while many have been counterproductive to my goals. The only option I see at this point is to dust myself off, give myself another pep talk and try again. So look for a ‘things are going really great again!’ post this Friday as I recommit myself to this process. 🙂
(One new motivating factor – husband and I are going to take a vacation together to GREECE (!!) in May. So I now have a ten week goal to aim for with rewards to myself of purchasing cute vacation clothes and taking tons of photos I don’t hate.)
1. Exercise last week – (Goal: 6x a week – made 2)
- Monday – Body Pump class during lunch break. Will keep doing this as long as my schedule allows!
- Sunday – Stadiums with the husband & kid. Really great hard workout.
- Other days – nothing. Lots of computer time and regret.
2. Food Plan – (Goal: track all food)
Did great healthy food wise at beginning of the week cooking & prepping breakfast lunch & dinner but by mid-week I fell off the wagon and ate drive through junk for multiple lunches. And then family went to beach this weekend and I ordered everything yummy all weekend long.
3. Weekly Weigh-In – (Goal: 20 lbs.)
Here’s the sad weekly break down of (lack of) progress since January – major mess of a roller-coaster of dedication:
- 1/15: -2.0
- 1/22: -0.6
- 1/29: +1.5
- 2/5: -1.1
- 2/12: -2.5
- 2/19: +3.3
- Total weight lost: 1.4 lbs
